“I have gazed on the walls of impregnable Babylon along which chariots may race, and on the Zeus by the banks of the Alpheus, I have seen the hanging gardens, and the Colossus of the Helios, the great man-made mountains of the lofty pyramids, and the gigantic tomb of Mausolus; but when I saw the sacred house of Artemis that towers to the clouds, the others were placed in the shade, for the sun himself has never looked upon its equal outside Olympus“

 – Greek AnthologyIX.58

The wonders of the ancient world may not exist anymore but the latest collection from Pestle & Mortar Clothing transcends time and space to bring them to you. The Ancient Wonders collection transports you from the hanging gardens of Babylon to the Pyramids of Giza and everywhere in between.

The Ancient Wonders collection is a follow-up from the earlier “In the Beginning” collection and features 17 highly wearable garments that connect the dots between stylish, modern fashion sensibilities and the classical antiquity of the collections namesake. Pretentious wording aside, the collection ambitiously dabbles with the concept of impermanence, with a dash of existential crisis.

From the bold colours and stunning imagery of the Queen of Babylon Tee (befitting of a person you’d build a garden for) to the breath-taking graphic from Artemis in Wonderland, the garments will be sights to behold.

The Ancient Wonders Lookbook was styled by Lingjie Tuang & Justin Choo and was Photographed & Directed by Waqqas Abdul Hadi while Digital Imaging was done by Lucas Lau & Jack Gan

The Ancient Wonders Collection is available from 14th December 2017 at the following:
