Two brands born more than a hundred years apart, come together with the commonality of grit, determination and artisanal creativity to bring an exclusive, limited edition capsule collection. Spanning across four garments, a bag and a cap, the combination of Pestle & Mortar Clothing and Royal Selangor show that opposite ends of the spectrum coming together can create something magical.

The Heritage Tote Bag featuring Royal Selangor’s first factory in Setapak during the 1970s, and the Dad Cap features Pestle & Mortar’s iconic flying mechanic logo in hammered-finish pewter.

Pestle & Mortar’s signature Pocket Tee is given a hammered finished surface, with the graphic print on the back of this tee paying tribute to the graphics found on Royal Selangor’s delivery van back in 1962. There is also a Beautifully Crafted white tee featuring a pestle and mortar depicted in a similar style as the illustration of a pewter tea set that was featured on the Royal Selangor’s plastic bags during the 60s and 70s.

Headlining this collection is an all-black Worker Shirt. Limited to 50 pieces worldwide, the shirt features bespoke pewter buttons by Royal Selangor. The collection also includes a Worker Jacket featuring the tiger from the Tiger Pewter touchmark, a name that was used before the company was renamed Selangor Pewter.

The collection will be made available from 20 January 2018 at Royal Selangor flagship store in Pavilion as well as the Pestle & Mortar Clothing Bangsar Flagship Store & Major Drop outlets nationwide.
